Biography
Lara has performed and recorded with artists such as Nile Rodgers, Rudimental, Olly Murs, Gregory Porter, Clare Teal, Circa Waves, ZUZU, and more. She has appeared at prestigious venues including Abbey Road Studios and The Royal Albert Hall. A classically trained musician, Lara graduated from Sir Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in 2016.
As the founder of Echo Strings, Lara leads a versatile string ensemble performing extensively across the UK and making regular appearances on Hollyoaks (Channel 4). She also runs Sapphire String Trio, which combines electric and acoustic performances, including a six-month residency on Carnival Conquest Cruise Ship in the Caribbean.
Lara is a member of the critically acclaimed Electric Light Orchestra tribute band, The ELO Show, touring sold-out venues in the UK and Europe. She also plays with Ian Prowse & Amsterdam, recently supporting Elvis Costello on his UK tour.
Her orchestral experience includes working with Ignition Orchestra, Gatecrasher Orchestra, Leeds Symphony Orchestra, and the Incredible 11 Hip Hop Orchestra. She has also performed in musical theatre productions such as The Last 5 Years (Epstein Theatre) and The Silence Between Us (Unity Theatre).
As a string arranger, Lara has contributed to projects like The ELO Show, The Christians: Sings & Strings, and arrangements for Carnival and Princess Cruise Lines.
In addition to her professional performances, Lara teaches music privately and has worked as a tutor at Pulse Music Education, Maestro Academy of Music, and Aintree School of Music.
